The advantages outweigh the disadvantages in this case. Direct mail is great for targeting a specific audience or individual and it allows for more personalization. I think more people will at least skim their printed mail as opposed to electronic mail where the recipient may never even open the letter. Direct mail, however, has the disadvantage of being viewed as “junk mail” when sent to potential clients by PR professionals. It also can cost more money than electronic forms of mail.
